The ca is managed wonderfully by Wayne sister Vicki who is supported by Sam, her son. Wayne and Vicki have grown up on the North West coast, home of their family for five generations whilst Jack moved here when she was six a latecomer!! Wayne worked for many years in diverse arenas circulating around community development whilst Jack had worked always in a bank. Wrapped up in those details are some wonderful experiences including living and working in many North West and West Coast communities from years well spent in Queens town playing football and saxophone to the amusement and labors of building a house on a little farm with 40 head of cattle. As a family we have perpetual generated a appropriate feeling environment no matter where we lived the park itself now reflects and regenerates that good feeling there is a positive palpable ambiance of good will and sereneness in this park and every visitor who stays here adds to that in a very authentic way.

Prior to becoming a Drive In 1958, the land had been developed from farm land to a golf course apparently the club was established in the mid 1940’s and was one of a very scanty golf clubs ever which was entirely owned and conducted by ladies. Some tangible footings remain in the grass and much speculation can be made about their relevance to the golf course.a Dorothy fixer!! These two people are the architects and work force, which developed the caravan park and ca facilities. The physical labor and clear thinking done over the after 1012 years is amazing. There are calm many reminders of its previous use as a Drive In, some are known and others divulge themselves more subtly the emergence now and then of an old rip top can lid up through the gravel is a wee bit important when related to the Drive In!! One of the big benefits this park has is its colossal amenities block which was originally built to cater for the drive in patrons the Drive In had 600 car places access to showers and cubicles is easy!! The park office was originally the drive in ca and projection room the managers two storied accommodation was built on the fore of the projection room the projector mounting sites and the projection holes in the wall are calm easily identifiable. The marvelous amenities block capacity of this park reflects the needs of a drive in full of people waiting for the half time break!! The wall after the clothes line comprises speaker stand bases. There are two remaining lights within the park from Drive In days, plus considerable of the large lights, which were used to assist people getting in and out of the Drive In. The large posts at the entrance are the creative Drive In gates, entire with circled orb on top!! The infra structure in the park has been incredibly well thought out, particularly given it required evolution from a drive in. The chalet style cabins were all built on site and they have an absolute rustic quality which typifies many things within Cassie, functional and well done. The park was planted out with a range of native and deciduous trees as the construction labor was being done. This park really shows the attributes of each season, from the incredible period of flourish in hasty spring to the bedding of lethargic leaves in autumn! Please take the time to stroll through the gardens, its wonderfully relaxing. Barbecues and tables are available for patrons to use the garden area, that way we all get to enjoy the barbecue aroma!.
